Country Superstar, Rodney Atkins, to Headline the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival on March 24, 2018 in Downtown Chandler

Jen Pruett | February 13, 2018

Professionally produced by HDE Agency, the 9th annual Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival returns to downtown Chandler on Saturday, March 24, 2018. This year, the featured headlining act will be country superstar, Rodney Atkins.

With six number-one hits under his belt, Atkins will deliver a powerhouse set of entertainment to this year’s fest. His top singles include: “Take A Back Road,” “It’s America,” “Cleaning This Gun (Come On In Boy),” “These Are My People,” “Watching You” and “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)”. Atkins has released four studio LP’s and sold over ten million units. His last studio LP, Take A Back Road, yielded his sixth career No. 1 hit and his fastest rising single to date with the title track. Other supporting country acts performing on the main stage include: Jerrod Niemann, Jordan Davis, Georgia Chrome and Honeygirl.

This year, the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival will feature a second main stage where patrons can enjoy twice as much country music! Headlining the second stage will be Tennessee raised, Russell Dickerson. In January, 2018 his hit song “Yours” hit #1 on the Country Airplay Billboard charts and continues to gain momentum as he continues to dominate across streaming and social media channels. Other supporting acts performing before Russell Dickerson on the new stage include: Ryan Sims, Laura Walsh, Pick & Holler and Jim Bachmann & the Day Drinkers.

In addition to its biggest and best year yet of country music, the Great American Barbeque & Beer Festival will feature more than 40 pitmasters from local, regional and national restaurants and BBQ competition teams – ready to serve the masses their slow-smoked delicious meats and sides. Plus, for the first time ever, the fest will feature more beer, wine and spirit selections including vodka, whiskey, and bourbon.

New and improved experience this year include live cooking demos, art installations, themed bars with interactive games, creative cocktails, mechanical bull riding competition, local community entertainment, eating competition, march madness lounge, expanded kids zone, and the return of the Corral zone and VIP area for country music fans and guests looking to elevate their festival experience.
