WBEC-West Hires HDE Agency for Public Relations and Social Media
HDE Agency expands its client base with the largest third-party certifier of women-owned businesses in the Western United States

Phoenix, Ariz. – July 20, 2010 – The HDE Agency announced that is has contracted with the Women’s Business Enterprise Council West (WBEC-West) to act as the organization’s agency of record for public relations and social and interactive media. WBEC-West is the largest third-party certifier of women-owned businesses in the Western United States.

“We are very pleased to be working with WBEC-West and Executive Director Pamela Williamson on their social media and PR campaigns,” said Landon Evans, president and co-founder of the HDE Agency. “This partnership is good news for local women-owned businesses because certification provides them with leverage when they seek contracts from large companies that have procurement goals set aside for using a certain number of women- owned businesses.”

Under the terms of the agreement, the HDE Agency would act as WBEC-West’s media liaison, distribute press releases and communicate certification advantages through media channels. Also, the HDE Agency is creating a centralized hub for Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs) to connect with one another, the organization, and corporate partners. By utilizing social networking sites such as Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and Twitter in conjunction with the organization’s website (WBEC-West.org), WBEC-West is providing an integrated system of social networks for its members and partners.
