Chandler Oktoberfest Scheduled for September 25th featuring German cuisine, music and beer!

Chandler, AZ—SanTan Brewing Company announced today it will celebrate its second annual Oktoberfest on September 25, 2009. In the same spirit of the Munich Oktoberfest, fans of polka, German food and craft beer will don their “lederhosen” and “dirndls” and gather in Historic Downtown Chandler beginning at noon. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased at SanTan Brewing Company.

Bavarian style Biergartens will offer a spectacular assortment of fine craft beers (available for purchase by adults 21 and over). SanTan Brewing will also serve up delicious home-made German bratwurst (courtesy of Von Hanson’s Meat Market in Chandler), and other types of sausages, sauerkraut, SanTan coleslaw, German pasta salad, and many other Oktoberfest treats for the kids.

Last year’s event drew more than 3,000 patrons; with an estimated attendance of 4,500, this year’s Oktoberfest promises to be a memorable event. Oktoberfest 2009 has plenty to offer including a Beer Pong Tournament, Weiner Dog Races, Bratwurst Eating Contest, Keg Stacking, Tricycle Races, Bag Toss, and Bounce Houses.

SanTan Brewing’s Oktoberfest will showcase an impressive line-up of entertainment, including authentic polka tunes from the Arizona Accordion Club (12:30 pm to 4:45 pm), and live music from Shawn Johnson & the Foundations (5 pm to 7 pm), and the Insomniacs (8:30 pm to 10:30 pm). The Arizona Derby Dames will get the party rocking with some in-your-face roller derby action (1:30 pm to 2:30 pm and 7 pm to 8 pm).

SanTan Brewing Company has been brewing up a Blitzkrieg of Biers in the Tradition of Old World Germany.  Hefeweizen, Golden Pilsner and Muchen Oktoberfest are bubbling away at the Brewery in anticipation of September 26.
